Marie-Theres Piening ShortBio:

Marie-Theres Piening holds a master's degree in social theory (Gesellschaftstheorie, M.A.) from the Friedrich-Schiller-University in Jena. Today she works as Research Assistant based at the Chair of Criminology and Criminal Law at the Goethe-University Frankfurt am Main together with Prof. Dr. Tobias Singelnstein. Her research interests are police, policing and social control, criminology, gouvernementalité, political sociology and empirical social research.
